About the font Karelia Bold Italic

Karelia Bold Italic is a bold slanted serif with Cyrillic and Latin. The letters are wide, sturdy and calm, with smooth bracketed serifs, strong thick strokes and an open italic that stays readable in both rows. The Cyrillic sample is shown in full in the preview, though a couple of positions appear as empty boxes, so check specific characters before using them.

It suits strong headlines, subheads, brochures, posters, signage and short emphasised passages in English or Russian, where a warm and authoritative voice is wanted. The weight is heavy for body text, but works well for display and emphasis next to a regular weight of the same family.
