About the font Herold Bold

Herold Bold is a heavy, condensed display face with Cyrillic and Latin: thick, nearly monolinear letters with flat wedge serifs and a sturdy, slightly tapered build, in the manner of old advertising and poster lettering. In the preview many punctuation marks and symbols appear as empty squares.

It evokes early twentieth-century shop fronts, advertisements and theatre bills, with a firm, authoritative tone. It is for headlines and logos at a large size; because it lacks much punctuation, long sentences in it are not practical, and the weight makes small sizes clog.
