About the font Ground Zero

Ground Zero is a alternative grunge face: a heavy, condensed sans serif whose letters are smeared with horizontal streaks, as if dragged across a photocopier or a worn screen. The shapes underneath are tall, blocky capitals, and the lowercase uses the same capital forms in smaller sizes. The streaks run through the strokes and blur the edges, and a small mushroom-cloud pictogram sits among the symbols. The file is large at 219 Kb. Latin only.

The name and the look point to catastrophe, war and post-apocalyptic themes, and suit posters, music covers, game and film titles, punk and metal graphics at a large size. The streaks reduce legibility at small sizes, and a long text turns into a noisy grey band, so use it for a few loud words.
