About the font Granit Normal

Granit Normal is a heavy, geometric decorative face built from massive capitals with wedge cuts and flat, chiselled terminals, with Cyrillic support. In the preview several letters, and many symbols, appear as empty boxes, and the symbol row includes a star and a few small ornamental signs. The figures are bold and compact, and the capitals are repeated in both rows.

The name evokes granite, and the forms do feel hewn from stone, with a monumental, slightly Soviet-poster weight. It suits large titles, signs, posters, headings for exhibitions and events, and labels where a heavy, solid character is wanted. Because some glyphs do not render and the weight is dense, test each word before use and keep it to short, large headlines.
