About the font George Gibson

George Gibson is a handwritten script that imitates a quick, real pen on paper: a fine, slightly shaky line, sketchy overlapped strokes, long loops and ligatures, and a gentle slant to the right. The capitals are large and flourished, the lowercase is small and fast, and the figures and punctuation are written in the same manner. The file is large for a font, which comes from the detailed hand-drawn outlines. Latin letters only.

It looks like a private letter, a diary page, a signature or a quick note, so it suits personal blogs, stationery, invitations, wedding cards, book epigraphs and short quotes. The hairline strokes are easily lost at small sizes or on busy backgrounds, so set it large and in a dark colour on a clean field.
