About the font Fita_Poluustav

Fita Poluustav imitates the Old Russian semi-uncial (poluustav), the script of medieval Slavic manuscripts: angular, narrow letters with broken pen-cut strokes, tall verticals and a deliberately archaic rhythm. Latin and Cyrillic are listed, though the preview shows only Latin letters, and some punctuation marks are missing.

Its name refers to the Slavic letter fita, and the whole face feels like a page from an ancient chronicle or a church book. It suits historical themes, book covers, icon-style inscriptions, fantasy and folklore design, at a large size and in short phrases. For modern body text it is far too tiring, so avoid long lines.
