About the font Etude

Etude is a decorative display face by Dubina Nikolay, built from letters with a double outline: an inline contour runs through the capitals and the small-cap-style lowercase, giving them an engraved, Art Deco look. A few of the punctuation marks and symbols are drawn as odd shapes, and the Latin and Cyrillic sets are both present.

The mood is that of a 1920s poster, a cinema marquee or a vintage label. It needs a large size to keep the inner line from filling in, and it reads best in a single short line; for body text or small captions it becomes hard to read.
