About the font English

English is a formal copperplate script in the English roundhand tradition, from the "fonts from films" and handwritten categories: slim, sharply slanted letters written with a pointed pen, with fine hairline upstrokes, delicate swelling downstrokes and capitals with large looped flourishes. The figures are light and slanted. The Latin alphabet is covered.

It carries the air of historical documents, diplomas, wedding invitations and costume-drama titles. It needs a large size and good contrast, in mixed case; the hairlines are lost at small sizes, and all capitals break the joins, so keep it to short lines such as names and greetings.
