About the font EckmannC

EckmannC is the Cyrillic-capable version of a face in the manner of Eckmann-Schrift, the Art Nouveau type that Otto Eckmann drew around 1900. The letters are narrow, with sharp, calligraphic strokes, pointed terminals and deep, uneven contrasts. Several capitals, such as H, K and M, are built from curved forms, and the lowercase looks lively and slightly gothic. Figures are tall and slim.

It carries the air of a German Jugendstil poster or a book cover from the turn of the century. It suits titles, posters, labels and logos with a historical or artistic mood, mostly at larger sizes. The hairlines and quirky capitals tire the reader in long text, and all capitals can be hard to read because of the unusual shapes.
