About the font Disko

Disko is a puffy, bubble-like display font by Jess Latham: fat, rounded letters that look inflated, with a white inline and a dark drop shadow that lift them off the page like stickers or balloons. Only the Latin alphabet is covered.

The lettering has the feel of 1970s disco posters and cartoon titles: playful, bouncy and a little cheeky. Since the shadow and inline are part of every glyph, the letters need room, and the effect is strongest on flat, saturated colours where the white line and dark shadow can both be seen.
