About the font Digital-7 Mono

Digital-7 Mono is a LCD display face by Sizenko Alexander, imitating seven-segment digital displays with every character occupying the same width. Letters and figures are built from bar-like segments with slanted ends, and capitals and lowercase share one form, so the preview shows two similar rows. Latin is supported, and a few symbols are simplified.

It comes from digital clocks, calculators, scoreboards and control panels, and it is widely used for timers, counters, tech interfaces, retro-electronics themes and game scoreboards. It is best for figures and short words at a medium or large size, ideally on a dark background with a bright colour. The segmented forms make some letters ambiguous, and monospacing makes text look sparse, so it is unsuitable for long text.
