About the font Didona

Didona is a Didone, or modern, serif in the style of Bodoni and Didot: extreme contrast between thick verticals and hairline strokes, flat hairline serifs, strictly vertical stress and ball-like terminals in the round letters. The weight is fairly bold, the figures are large and elegant, and Cyrillic is included.

The name points straight to the Didone tradition of the late eighteenth century, associated with fashion magazines and luxury brands. It looks best in large display sizes, where the hairlines stay visible; at small sizes or on low-resolution screens the thin strokes break up, so use it for headings, covers and logos rather than long text.
