About the font CyrillicHeavy

CyrillicHeavy is a very heavy, extended grotesque with Latin and Cyrillic. The letters are broad and dense, with thick, even strokes, small apertures and flat, horizontal terminals, and the lowercase is only a little shorter than the capitals. Figures are wide and bold.

It has the blunt, utilitarian punch of mass-market headlines, packaging and signage. It works at large sizes for headlines, logos, banners and short statements in Russian or English. Because of its width and weight it consumes space and closes up at small sizes, so it is not meant for running text.
