About the font Century Normal

Century Normal is a classic text serif with Latin and Cyrillic, in the manner of Century Schoolbook-type faces. The letters are wide and sturdy, with moderate contrast, bracketed serifs, a large x-height and open, generous shapes that were designed for clear reading. Figures are lining and even.

It has the familiar, dependable tone of school textbooks, novels and reports, and reads comfortably in long paragraphs in Russian or English at normal text sizes. It is a plain, neutral voice rather than a decorative one, so for headlines it is best in larger sizes with a heavier cut beside it.
