About the font Cardo

Cardo is an old-style serif by David J. Perry, drawn in the tradition of Bembo and Renaissance Venetian types. The preview shows light, bookish letters with moderate contrast, bracketed serifs and calm proportions.

Cardo was made for scholars, and its 1,064 Kb file reflects a very large character set aimed at classical and medieval studies. That makes it useful for academic texts, editions, dictionaries and long reading, where it gives a quiet, traditional page.
