About the font Broken Planewing

Broken Planewing is a retro display face with a split personality: the capitals are ornate, blackletter-inspired forms with fine flourishes, delicate hairlines and curling, calligraphic details, while the lowercase is a much plainer, light, upright design. Both rows in the preview are Latin only, the figures are small and simple, and many signs, such as the punctuation, are missing or only partly drawn.

The old-fashioned, fairy-tale and gothic-romantic look suits fantasy and historical titles, invitations, tavern signs, book covers and festive posters. The capitals work best as initials or in a few words at a large size, and the contrast with the simple lowercase gives a quirky effect. Because the set is incomplete, test your text and keep to short lines.
