About the font Bookman Old Style Bold Italic

Bookman Old Style Bold Italic is the bold italic of the Bookman revival, a warm old-style serif with Latin and Cyrillic. The letters are wide and generous, with strong stems, bracketed serifs and a large x-height; the italic is a lively slanted version, with the single-storey a and broad, swinging forms, and the figures are lining and sturdy.

Bookman has the friendly, slightly nineteenth-century feel of ads, packaging and book jackets, so the bold italic suits emphasis, subheadings, pull quotes, signs and short titles. For long passages, a regular weight is easier on the eye.
