About the font Bonapart-Modern

Bonapart-Modern is an Art Nouveau display serif by Gophmann A.L. with Cyrillic and Latin letters: bold, slightly wide letters with swelling, flared strokes, rounded, ornamental serifs, small notches and a quirky, hand-drawn character, while the lowercase keeps the same warm, decorative design. In the preview a few signs and extra characters are missing.

The look recalls turn-of-the-century posters, theatre and cabaret programmes, book covers, tavern and bakery signs and vintage labels. It suits headings, shop fronts, menus, invitations, short quotations and period-style design at a medium to large size. Because of the decorative serifs and the incomplete punctuation, it is not for long text, and the details blur at small sizes.
