About the font AtlandSketches BB Italic

AtlandSketches BB Italic by Nate Piekos is a slanted, hand-lettered face that looks like fast marker or graffiti sketching. The capitals are tall, narrow and energetic with long swooping strokes, and the lowercase is set in the same capital-like forms at a smaller size. Each stroke is drawn with a thin double contour, which gives a light shadow and a sketchy edge. The figures follow the same slant.

The style fits comics, street and skate culture, music posters and expressive short headings. Nate Piekos is best known for comic lettering, which explains the quick, casual rhythm. The thin outlines do not hold up at small sizes and the narrow capitals lose clarity on busy backgrounds, so it is for a few words at a large size.
