About the font AGGalleon Roman

AGGalleon Roman is a book serif in the Renaissance tradition, the kind of type cut for printing in the sixteenth century: warm, slightly irregular curves, moderate contrast, small, diagonal-stressed bowls, bracketed serifs and an even, calm texture. The capitals have classical proportions, the lowercase reads in a relaxed rhythm, and the figures are old-style in spirit. The categories list Cyrillic and Russian along with Latin.

It makes a pleasant, quiet text face for novels, essays, poetry, long articles, invitations and menus, and it carries a note of tradition in book and magazine layouts. The light, finely drawn strokes read best on paper at ordinary text sizes, and look slim on low-resolution screens.
