About the font Action Jackson

Action Jackson is a comic-style display face by Tom Murphy 7: hand-drawn, puffy capitals outlined in black with a drop shadow, as if cut from thick cardboard and set on a surface. Both rows show capitals, and some symbols in the preview turn into small faces or odd shapes. The Latin alphabet is covered.

It brings to mind children's comics, party posters, game covers and playful packaging. It is for short words and headlines at a large size, where the shadow stays clear; at small sizes the outline and shadow merge, and long text is hard to read.
