About the font Academy Condensed

Academy Condensed is a narrow old-style serif with a light, bookish colour: sharp bracketed serifs, clear stroke modulation, moderate x-height, round-cut forms squeezed into a condensed width and a quiet, cultured rhythm. The preview shows complete capitals, lowercase, figures and punctuation with a distinctive Q and a curled tail on the ampersand. Cyrillic and Russian letters are included along with the Latin set, and it is listed under serif and decorative fonts.

Its compact width suits tight columns, captions, side notes, tables, programmes, invitations and book titles where space is limited but a traditional tone is wanted. It also works as a slender headline face for cultural and academic material. In very small sizes the narrow forms and light strokes lose strength, so use it from a comfortable text size upward.
