About the font Academy Bold Italic

Academy Bold Italic is a bold, calligraphic italic with Cyrillic and Latin. The letters lean at a gentle angle with pen-written curves, wedge-like entry strokes, fairly strong contrast and a slightly open, flowing rhythm. The capitals are classical, and the lowercase has a humanist, pen-written structure with a modest x-height. The set includes figures and common punctuation and is listed under decorative fonts.

It works for emphasis, quotations, headings with a literary tone, invitations, menus and certificates, in Russian as well as Latin. At medium and large sizes it keeps a warm, lively voice. For whole chapters a lighter italic is easier on the eye, since the heavy slanted strokes make the page dense.
