About the font a_SignboardCps Bold

a_SignboardCps Bold is a heavy high-contrast serif in the manner of old poster and signboard faces, with Cyrillic and Latin letters: thick, vertical stems, fine hairlines, flat serifs, a wide, stately build and a lowercase drawn as small capitals. The Latin set is complete, while in the preview a few Cyrillic letters appear as empty boxes, so the Cyrillic row has gaps, and the figures are bold and lining.

The weight gives it a commanding, theatrical presence for signs, shop fronts, newspaper headlines, posters, playbills and book titles, and for old-fashioned or period designs. It looks best large and in short lines. Because some Cyrillic characters are missing, test your Russian text before choosing it, and avoid small sizes where the hairlines vanish.
