About the font a_Moderno

a_Moderno is a geometric Art Deco and Art Nouveau display sans with Cyrillic: capitals built from thin and thick strokes with open, interrupted forms, where bowls are drawn as arcs that do not close and crossbars float, and the lowercase is set as small capitals. The preview shows two lines of capitals, plus figures and punctuation with a few empty boxes; the categories note Decorative and Sans-Serif.

The elegant, early-twentieth-century feel suits posters, fashion and boutique signs, cafe and theatre branding, invitations and film titles. The open construction reads well in short words at a large size; in small sizes and long text the gaps disturb legibility.
