About the font a_FuturaOrto Bold

a_FuturaOrto Bold is a bold geometric sans in the Futura tradition, with Cyrillic and Latin letters. The capitals follow classical proportions, with a wide round O, a narrow E and pointed A, M and V; the lowercase is simple and low, with a single-storey a, a small x-height and long ascenders. The figures are lining and bold, and the punctuation set is complete.

The weight carries a modern, confident voice, typical of editorial and advertising graphics from the 1930s to the present: headlines, logos, posters, packaging, signs and interface labels. It handles short lines and subheadings well. Because of its dense colour, it is less comfortable in long paragraphs, where the lighter weights of the style are better.
