About the font a_CooperBlack

a_CooperBlack is a Cyrillic-style copy of Cooper Black, the fat soft serif that Oswald Cooper drew in 1922. The letters are round, heavy and plump, with very thick strokes, rounded corners, tiny counters and serifs that melt into the stems, and the lowercase has a lively bounce. Figures and punctuation are as sturdy as the letters.

The warm, friendly, slightly nostalgic character made Cooper Black popular for advertising, album covers and posters of the 1970s, and it still fits food packaging, cafes, bakery signs, children's books and comfortable branding. It is strongest in large sizes and short lines, and its heavy weight makes long text tiring.
