About the font a_AvanteOtl Heavy

a_AvanteOtl Heavy is an outline face built on the geometric skeleton of the Avant Garde type: perfectly round bowls, a single-storey a, and strokes drawn as a thin double line with an empty interior. The preview shows Latin and Cyrillic, but several Cyrillic capitals and lowercase letters appear as empty boxes, so the Russian set is incomplete.

The hollow letters feel light and airy even though the underlying weight is heavy. They work best in large headlines, posters, logos and signage where the outline can be coloured or filled behind, and they are poor in small sizes, where the thin contour disappears. Check the Cyrillic you need before committing to it.
