About the font a_AlgeriusCaps

a_AlgeriusCaps is a decorative serif in the manner of the classic Algerian titling face: heavy, high-contrast capitals with wedge serifs, inline details and a Victorian, slightly carved look. The lowercase is drawn as small capitals, so the text reads in capitals, and the preview shows two rows that differ only in size. Cyrillic and Latin are both included.

It calls to mind old theatre bills, bottle labels, certificates, tavern and bakery signs and festive posters with a nostalgic note. It is strongest in large capitals with wide spacing. Because the lowercase is small caps, long text is slow to read, so use it for titles, names and short taglines.
