About the font a Theme for murder

a Theme for murder is a scratchy, hand-scrawled font with thin, sharp lines that look as if they had been cut with a blade or written with a splitting pen. The letters lean and cross over each other, with long tails and stray strokes that extend in every direction, and the lowercase is small and tangled. The set contains letters only, without digits or punctuation, which is why it is mostly seen in titles.

The title promises a crime thriller, and the nervous, dangerous line does fit horror posters, detective book covers, gothic and punk graphics and dark game titles. Legibility is low on purpose, so it belongs in large, short words with plenty of space, and never in running text.
