About the font 5X5 Basic

5X5 Basic is a pixel font built on a five-by-five dot grid, so every letter is made of chunky square blocks. The first row shows capitals and the second row an alternative lowercase-style set with slightly different pixel arrangements, and the digits are drawn in the same bold blocks. The bottom rows of the preview are empty boxes, so punctuation and most symbols are not available.

It looks like a screen of an early handheld game, a pocket calculator or a retro console, and the cat list marks it as a cyber and unusual font. Use it for video-game titles, tech and retro-computing graphics, pixel-art posters, indie game interfaces and short digital-themed headlines. The coarse grid makes sentences hard to read, and the missing punctuation means it is best for single words and numbers.
